The ABB Non-Invasive Temperature Sensor is a simpler and safer approach to temperature measurement. Due to the easy, no process penetration, surface mounting system installations are more cost effective and you have greater flexibility on where to mount the sensor. The ABB Non-Invasive Temperature Sensor has global approvals for explosion protection up to zone 0 and is intrinsic safety with a flameproof enclosure.
In addition to the cost savings and safety improvements. It has innovative double sensor architecture and specially developed calculation algorithms meaning you won’t sacrifice the quality of your measurement. With outputs via 4 – 20 mA and HART protocol the accuracy and response times are similar or better than a standard thermowell installation
